THE CUSTOMISED RESCUE CHAIR

Best practice: customized rescue chair

Our commitment to quality and functionality is also evident in every detail of our textile solutions. Our customised seat cushion for a stretcher chair in the rescue service proves this. Thanks to our high-quality seat cushion and removable base made of sturdy tarpaulin, rescue teams can concentrate fully on their life-saving work. The development of a technical bag or textile solution is a complex and meticulous process that goes through several stages to ensure that the end product is reliable, safe and user-friendly. As a first step, our special bag team listens carefully to understand the customer’s needs and requirements. The customer’s requirements form the basis for the design and functionality of the technical bag or textile solution.

Based on the data collected, our design department developed initial drafts for the seat cushion together with the construction department. Ergonomic aspects, safety standards and handling were taken into account. Several design drafts and prototypes were created to explore different approaches and develop the best possible end result for a seat cushion in the emergency services:

The chair upholstery should be easy to attach to the base of the chair.

  •  The upholstery therefore has a sturdy base made of lorry tarpaulin and reliable Velcro and zip fasteners to ensure easy assembly.

… should be easy to clean, disinfectable and durable.

  •  Disinfectant-resistant artificial leather was chosen as the material, which is robust and also weather-resistant.

… should be easy to stow away.

  • In collaboration with our engineering department, our design department developed the upholstery so that it can be optimally stowed away in small storage spaces.

… should bear the brand logo and be manageable in the warehouse.

  • We applied a label with the brand logo, barcode and batch label.

… should match the brand identity.

The upholstery was produced in the colour of the customer’s corporate design.

The development of the seat cushion for a rescue chair is a prime example of our cross-divisional collaboration. We bring everyone together for every project. The expertise and creativity of our team of experts flow into every step of the process. Since our company was founded, we have been working intensively on the topic of technical bags and have already implemented numerous customised solutions. We listen, tackle and think along with you. Flexibly, sympathetically and in partnership.
