    Best practice: Rambler backpack for homeless people

    Where will I sleep tonight? Where will I get something to eat? Where can I spend my day? In 2022, around 607,000 people were categorised as homeless.*

    People who live on the road face new challenges every day. This includes, among other things, stowing and transporting personal belongings safely. What better way to do this than with a backpack? For homeless people, their own backpack doubles as a bathroom, bedroom, wardrobe and kitchen.For this, a special backpack was developed in collaboration with Rambler Studio Berlin and people who have been affected by homelessness themselves. It is designed to meet the demands of life on the street and make everyday life easier for homeless people. Conventional bags and backpacks often do not fulfil these special needs.

    The Features

    As bag experts, we have further optimised the development of the Rambler backpack for the longest possible service life. Thanks to its robust, tear-resistant and water-repellent material, the multifunctional outdoor backpack can now withstand any weather conditions. It has many hidden compartments for valuables and offers numerous loops for carabiners to attach cups, thermos flasks and dog bowls. Length-adjustable straps mean that sleeping mats and sleeping bags can be transported safely. Particularly important items can be stowed in a detachable hip belt with a fanny pack.

    The Initiative

    These multifunctional outdoor backpacks were produced by us and will now be distributed free of charge to homeless people in winter 2023/2024 by Rambler Studio or Neue Chance gGmbH.
