December – as in every year, the time to look back on the past months. We would certainly all have wished for a more peaceful and optimistic 2022. In addition to the depressing news since 24 February, many other issues that challenge us are currently accompanying us. For this reason in particular, we would like to summarise the positive events of the past HALFAR® year for you once again in this annual review.
Climate neutral company & climate neutral product. We started the year 2022 with this positive statement. We are happy about the milestone we reached and also about the fact that we were able to add further steps in 2022. But read for yourself.
To make Halfar, our possibilities and values visible to you, we have updated our corporate film 2022. It gives exciting insights and impressions. It shows interesting facts about consulting, design, prototyping… logistics, storage capacities and much more that you can find at Halfar.
From GWW Trend to Interschutz. From early summer onwards, trade fairs and events finally took place again. Good opportunities to get in touch with each other, have exciting conversations and also convince you haptically of the versatility of our range. Colleagues from both the technical bags and the promotional bags were on the road at home and abroad.
We were also finally able to welcome guests back home this year. Both at the press brunch in November and at the Welcome Home Tour 2022. We look back on a great day here in Bielefeld, characterised by long exchanges and a warm atmosphere.
Now we are already looking forward to PSI 2023, to which we would like to cordially invite our promotional products dealers once again at this point. For you and all friends of the climate-neutral HALFAR® stock range, our teaser video already gives a small preview of the “New Sustainable 2023”.

Digitally, too, things have evolved a lot in 2022. With the conversion to the latest e-commerce software, we have taken the next step towards more digitalisation. Faster loading times, more effective search, clear and concise product presentation – just a few of the added values from which you are already benefiting today after the launch of the updated website.
You can find out a lot about Halfar and why our colleagues enjoy working for and with us in the newly designed section: Career at Halfar. We welcomed 16 new employees in 2022. We are particularly pleased about the young people who are starting their training in one of the 6 apprenticeships at Halfar. They are enthusiastic and committed to their work in the company and also in other companies.
And there are also Halfar offspring to report in 2022. Three little ones have joined our Halfar family. We congratulate all our parents once again.
In 2022, we also had the opportunity to support important projects that go beyond regular business operations and to participate in topics relevant to the future:
We like to remember:
• The joint blood donation campaign with our neighbours IWN GmbH & Co. KG, HÜCOBI GmbH and John Guest GmbH, which took place this year in the IWN canteen.
• The large-scale exercise of the ASB (Arbeiter Samariter Bund) at our logistics centre.
• As well as the “Glückstour” of the chimney sweeps, which we were again able to support with bags this year.
And once again, our employees took part in this year’s city cycling event. 21 colleagues pedalled and covered a remarkable 5,241 km. 33rd place out of a total of 248 teams. A top performance!
Together we make ourselves strong! True to the motto, another conventional area was converted into a biodiverse green space in 2022 in the course of our Halfar compensation project. With our own compensation projects, in addition to our commitment through ClimatePartner, we compensate for unavoidable emissions that arise, for example, in the production of our catalogue. But it is about more than compensation. It is about diversity and the preservation of our common livelihoods. It’s about awareness and taking action ourselves. This is exactly why Halfar has been an official partner in the promotion of insects since 2022! This officially certifies what began with an acquaintance more than 5 years ago.
Our partnerships with Werkhaus GmbH were also a cause for celebration last year. Werkhaus GmbH and Halfar System GmbH have been cooperating closely for 20 years. With the founding of prosigno GmbH in November 2012 and the arrival of the screen printing company specialising in the printing of advertising bags at Halfar’s headquarters in Bielefeld in 2022, we look back on an unparalleled success story of inclusion in action.
In 2022, we won the overall PSI Sustainability Awards as “sustainable company of the year” for the second time. In addition, we received the special prize of the CSR Award OWL for our perseverance, our continuous commitment in the CSR area and for the constant further development of our CSR strategy. And our BASKET soft shopper was able to convince the jury at the promotional gift award 2022 thanks to its innovative, resource-saving design. We say thank you!
