4TH ÖKOPROFIT® RECERTIFICATION FOR HALFAR

Halfar hosts the ÖKOPROFIT® celebration

There was a lot to celebrate yesterday afternoon: As one of 14 companies, we at Halfar celebrated the award or recertification as an ÖKOPROFIT® company - and this for the 4th time.

As one of the ÖKOPROFIT® pioneers, we had the honour of hosting the event on our premises. Oliver Krischer, Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport in North Rhine-Westphalia, was one of the guests who praised the project as a pioneer for the entire federal state.

We are thrilled that 150 companies in our region have now been recognised as certified ÖKOPROFIT® enterprises. The project has shown us that sustainability is not only ecologically sensible, but also economically profitable.

We have been actively working with ÖKOPROFIT® for 12 years now and are continuously committed to environmental and climate protection. We started with smaller measures such as switching to LED lamps or better waste separation. In the meantime, more comprehensive projects such as green compensation areas and the continuous reduction of our CO2 emissions have become part of our agenda.

The ÖKOPROFIT® project inspired us to prepare voluntary sustainability reports and to look into reducing our carbon footprint at an early stage. The cooperation with the team of consultants was extremely helpful and inspiring. We really appreciate the membership in the ÖKOPROFIT® Club as it provides us with networking and environmental knowledge beyond the certification.

We are grateful for the award as a certified ÖKOPROFIT® company and see it as confirmation of our continuous commitment. In the future, sustainability will continue to be a matter close to Halfar's heart and will play an important role in shaping all our business activities. We are therefore certain that the fourth ÖKOPROFIT® award will not be our last.
