THE CRUNCHIPS COOLER BAG

Cools more crunchy

Leaving a bag of crisps unopened for more than a day is a measure of a really strong character. In short: it is virtually impossible to resist. That's why it's a very good idea to take this possibly most promising of all packaging and give it a slightly different purpose, for example as a cooler bag.

A bag of crisps as a cooler?

Yes, you can. Take the shape of the classic crisp packet, enlarge it to scale, print it and you're done! Well, it's not quite that easy. Of course, it depends on the choice of material and processing so that the "bag" changes from crispy to cool. The advertising agency CRIMEX came up with the idea for this special cool bag for its customer Crunchips. Once the concept and initial designs were finalised, they needed a partner who could also sew something like this: HALFAR®.

Sophisticated down to the smallest detail

As a specialist in promotional bags and technical bags, the expertise is there. The team in Bielefeld has already turned the flashiest ideas into bags. And this was no exception. First of all, they needed a material that was strong enough but still light and fluffy enough to resemble a crackling bag of crisps. The choice fell on nylon. On the outside, it was printed all over with the tried and tested chip bag design, deceptively real. And on the inside, an EVA foam gives the sturdy, lightweight material a reliable insulating effect. Another positive side effect: this welded lining makes the bag leak-proof. The bag can even be put in the dishwasher. And of course, the plastic used is food-safe, just as it should be for a cool bag.

This oversized chip bag can hold two 1.5 litre bottles with cool packs or even more smaller drinks and snacks. It can be closed with a zip and carried with a comfortable shoulder strap to the best swimming trips, barbecues and sunsets of the summer. And whatever is actually inside, one thing is certain: you always have the chip bag with you.

By the way: in 2017, this bag won the Promotional Gift Award 2017 in the customised category.
