    APPRENTICE EXCHANGE HALFAR & FARE

    Close despite distance

    At first glance, there is a considerable distance of 150 kilometres between the companies, but at second glance it becomes clear: Halfar and FARE maintain a close business relationship. Both companies have been part of JCK Holding for more than 15 years and are thus affiliated companies.

    Despite close cooperation, there has been no direct exchange between the apprentices of both companies so far. Therefore, it was clear to the companies that they would like to encourage an apprentice exchange.

    The trip to FARE

    On 22.08.2022, our apprentices, Wiebke (apprenticeship in media design) and Julia (apprenticeship in e-commerce)  got into the e-car and made their way to FARE. Arriving in Remscheid, they were warmly welcomed and were able to gain their first impressions of the company through a company tour. 

    Together with the apprentices from FARE, who are completing their apprenticeship in e-commerce, they worked independently on a task that connects Halfar and FARE: A product cooperation for a trade fair stand and the associated communication on social media.

    In doing so, they were able to give free rein to their creativity and at the same time have an informative exchange about their training, companies and related experiences. After productive work phases, plenty of fruit and pizza, they presented their result to the heads of the e-commerce/digital business and reviewed the day.

    Definitely! The apprentices look back positively on this day: The exchange gives the apprentices the chance to gain an insight into other companies, which is not usual for an apprenticeship. Not only the technical exchange is helpful, but also the discussions about their own training processes help them to self-reflect and gain inspiration. 

    Back in Bielefeld, a next meeting was arranged and the preparations have started already. We are excited and look forward to welcoming the apprentices from FARE!
