We celebrate anniversay
There was double reason to celebrate on Friday, 26.08.2022 in Bielefeld. Werkhaus GmbH of Bielefelder Lebenshilfe and Halfar are proud to celebrate two anniversaries and thus two real success stories.
STRONG TOGETHER
Success story no. 1: working together – cooperation Werkhaus & Halfar
Werkhaus GmbH and Halfar System GmbH have been cooperating closely for 20 years now. In addition to the classic awarding of contracts to the recognised workshop for people with disabilities, external workplaces have also been created at Halfar’s headquarters over the years. Employees of the Werkhaus work there together with employees of Halfar System GmbH. Together they demonstrate every day how people with and without disabilities can be productive together and meet high quality standards.
The natural cooperation, the work on common tasks and the achievement of economic targets create an environment in which all employees see themselves as part of a productive and useful company cooperation and can contribute their share.
Success story no. 2: founding and growing together – prosigno
This successful cooperation and good experience in working together was intensified and expanded with the founding of prosigno GmbH in November 2012. Prosigno is an integration company of Werkhaus GmbH based at the main location of Halfar System GmbH. People with and without disabilities work in the screen printing shop, which specialises in printing advertising bags. The company thus creates inclusive jobs with opportunities for transition to the primary labour market. prosigno currently employs 17 people.
On an area of 700 square metres, high-quality screen prints are applied to bags using the latest technology – and in a sustainable manner. The distances are short, a photovoltaic system on the roof is productive and additional energy needs are covered with green electricity. In addition, the use of water-soluble printing inks is also sustainable, and testing and expertise have made it possible to switch to these for the most part. Ultimately, the excellent quality and durability of the screen prints on the bags are also convincing in terms of sustainability, in order to set the scene for brands and messages.
Good things have to be celebrated – strong together
The invited guests were able to see for themselves on Friday how the professional screen prints are applied to the bags. Under the motto “STRONG TOGETHER ”, the cooperation between workshop, inclusive business and industry was celebrated for the second time.
After the welcome with sparkling wine and coffee, there was a joint look back at the beginnings. One or two funny anecdotes made it clear that inclusion is successfully lived here in Bielefeld. During the subsequent tour of the Halfar and prosigno production facilities and the warehouse, the guests were able to see for themselves and take away some exciting insights. The guests were able to marvel at how the bags, which they were allowed to take home with them, were assembled, printed and dried in the drying channel on the modern printing machines at prosigno. Afterwards, the guests celebrated in the workshop, which is within walking distance. With a joint lunch and the company band, which has been creating a good atmosphere for 25 years now, the party reached its climax and a happy ending.
