THE TYREBAG

How bicycle tyres become promotional bags

How did this bag come about? I imagine it like this: The marketing strategist of a major manufacturer of bicycle tyres was mending his daughter's bike one evening. He found all sorts of things in her coat: a shard, a small stone, a nail and a small pearl. A veritable treasure trove that his little girl had been travelling around with. Like in a bag.... Bag? Exactly! A bike coat as a bag, that would be something!

From the idea to realisation

The idea for the TyreBag could have been born in one way or another. One thing is true: the TyreBag uses the original materials of a bicycle tyre. This creative bag is made from a bicycle tyre, a bicycle inner tube and a piece of tarpaulin. This is not recycling in the original sense, as the materials are new. However, scrap materials could certainly be used here. In other words, coats, inner tubes and tarpaulins that are not suitable for use on a bike due to minor production faults, but are perfectly suitable as material for a bag.

Either way, the TyreBag is definitely a sustainable marketing idea. Because the use of customer materials for customised bags works. And it works. And works. Every time the user picks up the bag, they not only have the brand in front of their eyes, but the product directly in their hand. It could hardly be closer and more emotional.

This is how HALFAR® created a bag that will make every bicycle enthusiast melt away. And which creates a brand image for the bicycle tyre brand that is as creative as it is memorable. The jury of the Promotional Gift Award saw it the same way and gladly awarded the TyreBag its prize. Do you already have ideas for developing a promotional bag? Share them with us. We are looking forward to your creative suggestions.
